Fine Lines around the eye area - what is the best treatment to elimate them?

I have tried Botox and dont believe it works on me and I also have had Retalin injected (this was painful and left small bubbles at the injection point which I feel defeated the purpose). Has anyone had surgery which removed fine lines effectively? Im thinking dermabrasion? Any ideas? Thanks
